Fuel Scarcity Series

This series was motivated by the need to document the frustration of a nation and a people during the fuel scarcity crises, which is an on-going, decades-long reality. Due to the shortages, long queues are visible at filling stations across the country and as a result, black marketers sell fuel in plastic kegs at over 100% inflation (often only feet from petrol stations). The irony is not lost on any of us that Nigeria, the 6th largest crude oil producer in the world, doesn’t have enough fuel for its own citizens.
