On 20th October, 2020, the Nigerian government massacred peaceful protesters demanding an end to police brutality in the country. As I’m currently out of the country on an international artist residency at Gastatelier Gleis70 in Zürich, Switzerland, I enacted this performance piece, on 27th October, a week after the massacre, in memory of the fallen heroes.
This performance becomes a reference point to honour all the people killed in Nigeria whose deaths have never being acknowledged by the government.
